What Happened This Week

🇺🇸 New UK PM. Andy Burnham is in — promising VAT cuts, bus fare caps, and a "cost of living government." First Labour PM in over a decade. The bets are on whether he lasts the full term.

🛑 Red Sea Tensions. Houthis threaten full blockade. Oil tankers rerouting. Global energy markets watching nervously. The White Rabbit flagged this early.

🇮🇷 Iran's Nuclear Deepening. Intelligence reports confirm uranium enrichment equipment moving 100m underground into the "Kolang Mountain" complex. Direct response to growing strike fears.

🤖 Shanghai AI Summit. China showed off humanoid robots, brain-computer interfaces, and the Kimi K3 model that's making the West nervous. The Verge called it "another Sputnik moment."

⚖️ Anthropic Pays Up. €1.3 billion — the biggest AI copyright settlement ever. The training data reckoning is here.

Down the Rabbit Hole

This week's top contenders:

🔹 The Deep Tunnel Narrative — Iran moving enrichment to 100m underground tunnels has the conspiracy sphere buzzing. Is this preparation for a strike, or a negotiating tactic? The Hole's community is split 60/40.

🔹 ICE Brutality Allegations — Vigils and protests spreading across US cities. The narrative framing is shifting fast — what was "immigration enforcement" is being reframed as "state violence." Watch this space.

🔹 UK Leadership Reset — Burnham's sudden rise from Manchester mayor to PM has the deep-state theorists working overtime. "Too clean, too fast" is the refrain.

🔹 AI Copyright War — €1.3bn to settle? That's not a settlement, that's a tithe. Some are asking: did Anthropic get played, or is this the opening move in something bigger?

"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you."

Things That Break Your Brain

🎯 This week's mind-melt:

The channel has been posting a series of optical illusions where AI-generated footage is indistinguishable from real life. One video shows a "protest" scene that looks like news footage but was entirely generated. The caption: "How many news segments did you watch today? How many were real?"

The brain-breaking part? You can't tell anymore. And neither can the people who make the news.

💡 Try this: Next time you see a viral video, ask yourself: Would I know if this was generated? If the answer is no, that's the point.

Quote of the Week
"The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance."
— Alan Watts

🦊 Lola's End Note:

Issue #001 in the can. Five sources, five sections, one magazine. Next week we'll have more sources, sharper takes, and a few surprises.

If you've got channels or feeds worth watching, send them through. The Dash is what you read between the noise.
